The 2024 Coursing Season is due to kick off on Sunday 28th of April with a preference to Maiden meeting at Lang Lang.
For the sake of the coursing season:
A puppy is a greyhound born on or after 1st March 2022
A Maiden is a greyhound who has never won a coursing event
Greyhounds can begin their coursing career at the age of 16 months, must be named with GRV prior to the event (ID card is required to be submitted to Stewards at the beginning of the day).
Satisfactory Trials will be completed at the beginning of the lunch break – Stewards must be notified of all dogs requiring a satisfactory trial before 9am on Sunday 28th of April. No additional trials will be completed on the day (either before, after or during the meeting).
If your greyhound has drawn a bye (either natural or by a scratching), you can run a ‘bye dog’ with it, this dog will not be required to wear a coursing collar on the day.
To nominate, visit www.fasttrack.com.au before 8.30am WEDNESDAY 24th of April (a day early because of ANZAC Day holiday). Fields will be announced Wednesday afternoon and published on NCA website, FB page and Lang Lang FB Group.
Scratchings close 4pm Saturday 27th of April, scratchings will be posted on FB Saturday evening.
