Victorian coursing received a significant prize money boost mid-way through the 2021 coursing season. Standard coursing events were brought in line with Level 3 (Tier 3 ) racing in 2018.

Victorian coursing prize money – standard events
(ie. Maiden, One win Stake, Limit Stake & Puppy events)
$1000 (1st); $290 (Runner-up); $110 (Defeated semi-finalists). Total $1510

 

Feature races can pay considerably more than this, including more than $25,000 in prize money across Waterloo Cup conducted over consecutive weekends in late August

The Waterloo Cup winner receives a $15,000 first prize plus a rug, trophy and a VicGreys bonus.
