Our coursing season concluded yesterday with the Final of our Waterloo Cup. We saw some brilliant coursing with Sultans of Win (John Delaroche) winning the final over Choosin’ Texas (Dallas Massina) in a lightning 16.56. Sultans of Win gives John his first ever win of the Waterloo Cup and was ably handled by son and owner Nicholas (pictured below with his beautiful family). In the two consolations we saw Beeline (Peter Craig) take out the Waterloo Plate after 3 very consistent runs and then last years Waterloo Cup winner Alston (Brian Fothergill) took out the Waterloo Purse in a come from behind win. Congratulations also to Rapid Invader (Connie McMillan), Cruisin Grae (Ellisa Franklin) and Beyond Easy (Jason Portelli) on breaking their maidens as well as Fall and Glimmer (John Paraskevas) who won a 2nd Puppy event for the year. Big thankyou to Lang Lang on providing a track in great condition all year, our two slippers Aiden (Lang Lang) and Steve (Longwood) on the great job they did throughout the year as well as all the volunteers who make our sport happen. We look forward to seeing everyone at our awards night and hope you all win many races between now and then.
